The beautiful island of Crete
Crete (Κρήτη) is the largest and most populous of the Greek islands, the fifth largest island in the Mediterranean sea , and one of the thirteen administrative regions of Greece. Samaria Gorge in Chania, Crete
The gorge of Samaria is the biggest, most imposing and beautiful gorge in Chania and in Europe, and that is why it is internationally renown and mostly visited, since more than 300000 people have the opportunity to cross it each year. Some people believe false reports about Greece's safety.
I am Greek-Irish, born and raised in Greece, and I assure you that it is a safe place to live or travel. Even though there is an economical crisis, it doesn't mean that the Greek people became inhumane or violent. We were and still are, hospitable and open hearted people.
Yes it is difficult for us to cope, but we will get through it.
